Vasculitis diseases, particularly the one Ilya Peckerman was afflicted with, are rare “orphan” diseases that need lots of attention and funding. There is no cure, no set idea as to why it starts, and no age/race/gender preferences.

**Why $36 for tickets? It’s double “chai” (18), and means “living” in Hebrew. Our father wore a “chai” charm around his neck and when he lived, he really LIVED. So, to life and let’s LIVE and honor Ilya Peckerman and help others afflicted with Vasculitis diseases live longer, healthier lives.

If you can't attend, but would like to MAKE A DONATION, click here.

We THANK YOU very much for your support and compassion.

Have a bag-a-licious day!

Jill Zarin's Book Party, Secrets of a Jewish Mother: PAMELA PEKERMAN

Dear Bagistas,

Last week, I attended the book launch for Jill Zarin’s Secrets of a Jewish Mother: Real Advice, Real Stories, Real Love. It was a great turnout with guests including fellow Real NY Housewives Luanne, Ramona and Kelly, Real NJ Housewives Caroline and Dina Manzo, Kell on Earth’s Kelly Cutrone and BRAVO’s Andy Cohen. Malorie Kaye of Cameo PR was my date for the night and we JAPS loved the Jewish themed hors d'oeuvres provided by Elegant Affair – mini bagel with lox spread, kugel, and latkes. Malorie’s highlight was getting to chat with her pr icon Kelly Cutrone – whom we both agreed was incredibly kind and generous with her time. Malorie says Kelly’s book If You Have to Cry, Go Outside: And Other Things Your Mother Never Told You changed her life, so I just ordered it from Amazon. My highlight was getting the Mazel of the Week from Andy Cohen on Monday instead of waiting until Thursday night's show. I also enjoyed meeting Lauren Manzo (daughter of Caroline from NJ Housewives and aspired makeup artist) who was sporting a glowing 2enlight10 clutch. The brand is the brainchild of Regine Basha (yes, Aaron Basha’s daughter) who happens to be a friend of the Manzo’s. If you recall, back in September I broke the story about the launch of 2enlight10 on AOL’s StyleList.com.

As for Jill, I didn’t chat with her as she was being swarmed by press – good job Amanda (her rep from AKR PR). I did snag a peak at Jill’s divine, suede, emerald green Christian Louboutin pumps. They were the perfect shade for her reddish hair. And, as I sit here in my home office (with a nasty cold) I’m channeling my own Louboutin moment in my new coral pumps. Nothing like a good accessory to make a gal feel better!

Skinny Girls Need SPANX Too: PAMELA PEKERMAN

Dear Bagistas,

Do you SPANX? I love to SPANX all over and I’m not ashamed to admit it. If you follow me on twitter or know me in real life, then you know I always own up to wearing formfitting undergarments from SPANX – my favorite source for keeping curves lifted and lovable. After all, skinny gals need SPANX too.

Yes, repeat after me: skinny gals need SPANX too! I’m not a gym rat, my abs are not crazy flat, and with my new infatuation with Herve Leger sculpting undergarments are a must.

The other night, I attended Real Housewives of New York Jill Zarin’s book party (pick up Secrets of a Jewish Mother: Real Advice, Real Stories, Real Love for great laughs and wisdom) wearing a high waisted Herve Leger skirt and a red blouse from Daffys (love high-low mix). Underneath all the outer glam, I was sporting a SPANX Slimpicity Scoop Neck Camisole is nude ($47) that kept the lady friends in their place and ironed out any potential lumps – we all have em! To protect my bottom assets, I turned to Skinny Britches Hipster undies ($32) and a Skinny Britches Short ($42). The Hipster and Short are the newest addition to the SPANX family and a response to many fashionistas wanting thinner, layering options. Now you can wear one Skinny Britches to slim, layer on two to shape, and add a third to transform. It’s magic fabric.

PS My bag is LaLucca’s “Luxor” which helps me channel my inner Cleopatra.

Have a bag-a-licious day!
