Ann Taylor Coral Statement Necklace spring 2011: PAMELA PEKERMAN

I need to be honest ladies and gentlemen, I have not purchased costume jewelry in nearly a decade. Everything I own, and it’s a lot, has fancifully appeared in my closet thanks to swag or gifts from friends – wish I could say the same about my diamonds and other fine jewelry. But, that spending pattern changed last Thursday when I found myself drooling over the latest collection of gold, coral and turquoise jewelry at the Ann Taylor store on 52nd and 3rd Avenue. I dubbed it "Lebanon chic" (probably because I’m heading to those parts over the summer) when the collection was presented several months ago. The Coral Statement Necklace ($98) has drama, color and an antique-feel I crave in all my baubles. This piece is so hot, it has sold out online. Call your local store ASAP, if interested. If you strike out, take shopping solace by picking up the equally lovely Coral Casting Ring ($38).

Press, Royal Wedding and Bridal Accessories on Better TV: PAMELA PEKERMAN

Royal Wedding fever has reached a we-are-way-past-needing-Tylenol pitch. Are you planning a party this Friday to celebrate the nuptials of Prince William to Kate Middleton? In addition to the food (fish sticks anyone?) and décor, go all out and dress up in wedding attire – don’t forget to accent with some of my must-have wedding accessories.

In case you missed it, last week I shared my top wedding accessories on BETTER TV. Big hugs to BETTER co-host Rhiannon Ally, who always looks flawless. I never saw beige look so sexy! Work it.

Thank you to Tanya and the team at Alison Brod PR for my dress.

Yes, I'm aware my last name is spelled wrong in this segment. This happens way too often. Ugg. I need to be on top of producers with the correct info and title. I was once called "boot babe" during a boot trends segment in Miami. Not cool!

Footwear Friday, Coye Nokes Susana Flat fall 2011: PAMELA PEKERMAN

Flat bread is something I can get behind, flat shoes not so much. But, due to recurring back pain, I need to find options that will occasionally give my body a rest, without sacrificing my need for a daily shoegasim. After previewing Coye Nokes’ fall 2011 collection at the Andaz Hotel, last week, I may have found my solution. The Susana Flat is polished without being prissy, and flat yet flattering. It’s business in the front with an interesting semi-polygon opening rather that a standard round opening, with a party in the back compliments of contrast piping in a pop color. And, since I can’t go totally flat, the slight 3/4 inch, hidden heel gives me the mini boost I crave. The Susana Flat ($245) will be available on CoyeNokes.com in August in five rich patent colors: mulberry, crimson, nude, charcoal and black. Nude has the crimson piping in the back, and is my personal choice for early fall (and maybe late spring, if the brand let's me get the shoes asap).

Handbag Humpday, Nyla Noor's Stagelight Box Clutch: PAMELA PEKERMAN

Greta Garbo. Marilyn Monroe. Sophia Loren. Any one of these screen icons could have been spotted sipping a martini with one hand and clutching a Nyla Noor’s Square Box Clutch ($298) in the other. Properly labeled Stagelight, this coral creation has the retro charm a modern gal needs to glam it up for the night. I’m thinking it will pair nicely with my latest one-shoulder Herve Leger number! Second on my Nyla Noor lust list is the Octagonal Box Clutch in seafoam. I just wish it came in coral.

Which Stagelight silhouette is your favorite? Leave a comment, and let me know.

Treasure Tuesday, Jessica Ricci’s Roman Lace Double Cuff Bracelet: PAMELA PEKERMAN

There’s nothing like a great piece of jewelry that also comes with a fascinating story. Jessica Ricci’s creations always come with a treasured tale of inspiration and innovation. This particular cuff was made from a sample of lace the designer found in her favorite outdoor market in Rome – already, visions of my own adventures in the Italian capital flash before my mind. Jessica had passed the linen vendor for years, admiring the femininity of the lace. When she began to make jewelry, she decided to cast the linen in brass and plate it in gold to create a cuff with a delicate and ethereal look. Thus, we have the Roman Lace Double Cuff Bracelet ($220), the newest addition to my ridiculously overindulged cuff collection. Take a look at Jessica’s other collections and sources of inspiration. Spiritus Graffiti, Latin phrases inspired by antique Roman graffiti, makes for a unique statement around your neck and a chance to brush up on classic Latin phrases you probably haven’t uttered since high school.
