Shoe Giveaway, Bed|Stu Cobbler Bullet Boots: PAMELA PEKERMAN

Sure spring is in the air, but we’re not out of the windy woods yet. Wouldn’t you love to close out the season with a stylist pair of boots? Thought so! One lucky reader will be stepping out in style with Bed|Stu’s Cobbler Bullet Boots. Handcrafted in Mexico with the finest full grain leather, this is the boot you’ll keep turning back to year after year. I liken it to that cozy sweater you always wear at home, even when you buy new loungewear every year. Bed|Stu footwear molds to the bed of your foot, so you can say “goodbye” to uncomfortable arches and insoles.

How:
1) Follow me on twitter, www.twitter.com/PamelaPekerman and Bed|Stu www.twitter.com/bedstu_shoes
2) Retweet (RT) “@PamelaPekerman I need comfy boots from @bedstu_shoes #Giveaway http://ow.ly/4akdm #shoes #PamPekermanBedStu”
3) A Random tweet will be selected on March 19, 2011. (Contest ends March 18, 2011 at 11:59pm EST)
4) Winner can select Cobbler Bullet Boot in black or tan. (Exception: size 11 may not be available in all color ways.)

Footwear Friday, Ruthie Davis Angelina Pump: PAMELA PEKERMAN

Dear Bagistas,

It's my favorite day of the week - TFIG and Footwear Friday. I'm having a serious love affair with my shoe closet, filling it up with designer duds from Yves Saint Laurent , Alexandre Birman, Jimmy Choo , Tory Burch and more. So, I couldn't very well, step into the New Year without discussing (and if the designer still has my 5.5 size, buying) a pair of Ruthie Davis pumps. If you still don't know this name, a woman I've been raving about for nearly five years, check your fashion pulse!
Ruthie Davis Angelina Peep-toe Pump, Winter 2010.
Rumer Willis in Ruthie Davis' Agnelina Pump
Ruthie Davis' sky-high, killer-drama heels have graced the pages of every major magazine and have walked down the Red Carpet with the help of Hollywood heavy hitters like Beyonce, Fergie, Chelsea Handler, and Selena Gomez. Take a gander at the mixed-metal heel on the Angelina peep-toe pump? It's good cause for a shoegasim. OK, catch your breath ladies.  The Angelina, which retails for $895 at http://www.thehipchick.com/, was first introduced in fall 2010 and has already been worn by Rumer Willis (shown below), Myley Cyrus, Beyonce and Demi Lovato. The spring version of the Angelina ships in early February and is part of Davis' neutrals story with monochromatic studding on metallic uppers. For die-hard Ruthie Davis shoe fans, bright pops of color still found their way into the new season.

Jill Zarin's Book Party, Secrets of a Jewish Mother: PAMELA PEKERMAN

Dear Bagistas,

Last week, I attended the book launch for Jill Zarin’s Secrets of a Jewish Mother: Real Advice, Real Stories, Real Love. It was a great turnout with guests including fellow Real NY Housewives Luanne, Ramona and Kelly, Real NJ Housewives Caroline and Dina Manzo, Kell on Earth’s Kelly Cutrone and BRAVO’s Andy Cohen. Malorie Kaye of Cameo PR was my date for the night and we JAPS loved the Jewish themed hors d'oeuvres provided by Elegant Affair – mini bagel with lox spread, kugel, and latkes. Malorie’s highlight was getting to chat with her pr icon Kelly Cutrone – whom we both agreed was incredibly kind and generous with her time. Malorie says Kelly’s book If You Have to Cry, Go Outside: And Other Things Your Mother Never Told You changed her life, so I just ordered it from Amazon. My highlight was getting the Mazel of the Week from Andy Cohen on Monday instead of waiting until Thursday night's show. I also enjoyed meeting Lauren Manzo (daughter of Caroline from NJ Housewives and aspired makeup artist) who was sporting a glowing 2enlight10 clutch. The brand is the brainchild of Regine Basha (yes, Aaron Basha’s daughter) who happens to be a friend of the Manzo’s. If you recall, back in September I broke the story about the launch of 2enlight10 on AOL’s StyleList.com.

As for Jill, I didn’t chat with her as she was being swarmed by press – good job Amanda (her rep from AKR PR). I did snag a peak at Jill’s divine, suede, emerald green Christian Louboutin pumps. They were the perfect shade for her reddish hair. And, as I sit here in my home office (with a nasty cold) I’m channeling my own Louboutin moment in my new coral pumps. Nothing like a good accessory to make a gal feel better!

Crazy Sale at Saks, No Bags Remain Plus Christian Louboutin for $200: BAGTRENDS

Dear Bagistas,

Sunday I went to Saks because of their crazy sale - 40% plus another 50% if you use your Saks card! My fiance and I only went because he wants a tux, but the Armani style he's been eyeing wasn't on sale. What's a gal to do? I checked out the contemporary floor and snagged amazing black Milly pants for $100 and a wonderfully draped Alice+Olivia skirt in a black/navy color for $80. Then, I ran into Lisa Bradkin, who used to curate the accessories presentation during New York Fashion Week before IMG viciously eliminated it. She told me her friend purchased four pairs of Christian Louboutin shoes for under $700. OMG! So, remembering I need wedding shoes, I sprinted to the 8th Floor only to find a line of nearly 100 women waiting to get into the pit of shoelicious sale heaven. My soon-to-be mother-in-law waiting in line with me and convinced me to stay for the full 30 minutes. Once inside, the madness went into over drive. Shoes all over the place. Sizes mixed up. Sales people running around in a sweat. Women purchased 5+ pairs. I went to my size and found a few goodies, but no wedding shoes. Then my soon-to-be mother-in-law found THEM. They were in size 8, sitting their unnoticed. They were a size 6 Christian Louboutin peep toe hidden platform pumps in rose gold. They are exactly what I wanted for my wedding. Something sexy, with a platform, 5 inches, not white, a hint of color, that I'll continue to wear. And ... $230. Amazing!! I still can't get over the rush of purchasing my very first pair of Louboutins. Some day I plan to own this exact model in every color imaginable. They are so comfortable and my legs look sick in them.

See what deals you can snag at Saks. Get up to 70% off through 12.07.08 during the Saks designer sale. Additional markdowns 11.27–11.28! Plus, free shipping on any order over $200 at Saks! Off valid 11.27.08 through 1:00 PM EST 11.28.08. Use code SAKSFS. Lot so sites/stores are having sales, but Saks' is the craziest. Trust me! I've been checking all the major department stores for weeks and know what they plan to mark down over the coming holiday season.

Have a bag-a-licious day!

Christian Louboutin Manicure: BAGTRENDS

Dear Bagistas,

Last week, I was perusing through what seemed like an endless stack of WWD's and in a recent WWD Beauty issue I read about the Louboutin manicure. Get this, it's black on the front red on the back. The concept sounds fun for a pr campaign or a Louboutin fanatic. But who's really going to sport this Elvira-esque look? Come to think of, I think I might try it for Halloween. It is way chicer than black and orange, right?

So am I hater? Would anyone try this? Speak now or forever hold your shoes.
